When people discover I was popular at a rather wealthy PWI high school in Wisconsin, they presume I was a cliche, white-washed, elitist academic. When in reality, the administration of my alma mater HATED me.

The way that I used digital memetics (following the rise of social media platforms in the mid 2010s like Instagram, snapchat etc) to influence the student body of an entire suburban school district against the rule of oppressive systems, had parents calling me “Basquiat”.

Since memetics can encompass anything, I have chosen to excel at that “anything”. Thus, the wide range and variety of talent/”intellect” that I demonstrate on social media.

I am also just being; MySelf.™

Though in expounding upon that over the years through turning MYSELF into a meme, I’ve created this otherization of the self. My self. Which I find puzzling. Something I’ve always tried so hard to avoid. At times I wonder if mass influence itself is just a natural consequence of that phenomena.

But somehow, I know that it doesn’t HAVE to be.

I say this without ego. That I am rather, quite intentional, with the content that I choose to release. Memetics is a funny science that I’ve used for my own personal advantage. And the advantages of others as well.
