Two Niggas Kissing

My first official Algorithmic/Generative art piece

The identity of the African American Male. Often static and depersonalized. Objectified. Sexually or otherwise.

Their love between one another; soft and revealing. Shedding light to intimacy and vulnerability in contrast to an otherwise blank and silhouetted existence…

Yet that light only exists as fleeting waves…

Black men, very much like myself. Some not. Black men who’s voices are muted. Swept under the carpet. Silenced by secrecy. The black queer man blurs the lines between an otherwise supposed clear distinction between gay and straight. Normal and Abnormal. Moral and Immoral. Like a child joining two bloodlines. One Dirty and one clean. Black men caught somewhere between a definition and a designation. Living in a “grey” area. Living on the Down Low.

At least that’s the way it was.

Reference:

This piece references a meme which gained traction during the absurdist memetic movement of the mid 2010s. Quite literally named “Two Niggas Kissing”.

Two people who embody the full representational standard of masculinity, savagery and violence in American Society… That they are even capable of sharing love amongst one another? It’s obtuse. It’s bizarre. It’s queer.

It’s “hilarious”.

Or at least it was.

Now, being a black queen man is.. largely okay in mainstream society, as of 2026.
I concur that this evolution from disgust and humor to acceptance and normalization of any progressive or liberal idea, construct or movement highlights the role of social media in the evolution of mainstream society as a whole.
